About Me

My name is Theo Silk, I am 23 years old, and I am an aspiring sports journalist. I have a passion for various sports, including Football, Formula 1, and a vast collection of domestic and international sporting events.

 

I am a graduate of Loughborough University, where I studied Media and Communications, Bachelor of Science, for three years. At University I played Lacrosse for two years, a completely unfamiliar sport for me before I joined Loughborough. We managed to reach the final of the BUCS Men's Midlands Conference Cup where we, unfortunately, came runners up. The image above shows me after the game with my twin sister Alexandra who came to watch me play.

Growing up, Lewis Hamilton was my hero, an individual I always looked up to and who I aspired to be like, humble and determined to succeed. I started watching Formula 1 when I was 7 years old with my Father, who also possesses a passion for the sport.

I have always loved football, since watching the 2010 World Cup Final on Television with the Netherlands taking on the giants of the Spanish national team. Andreas Iniesta was the first player to catch my eye. His ability to not only pass the ball but control and manipulate it fascinated me and he became one of the reasons why I love football today.
